Real Club Valderrama

Any list of the best golf courses in Spain must include Valderrama!  The course was designed in 1974 by Robert Trent Jones, Sr, one of the great golf course architects.   As early as 1988, Valderrama began to host the newly-launched Volvo Masters, the flagship tournament of the PGA European Tour.  And in 1997 the Club hosted the 32nd Ryder Cup, won by Europe in a most thrilling finish.  Source:  Real Club Valderrama.

Club de Campo Villa de Madrid

Designed by Mr. Javier Arana and inaugurated on the 21st of April, 1956.  Some of the best names in the world have played and won tournaments on this course.  Current home of the Open de España and past winners at this course include Spain’s most beloved golf heroes:  Severiano Ballesteros (1995), Jon Rahm (2019) and Rafa Cabrera (2021).  Other golf heroes that have played this course include Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Nick Faldo, Bernhard Langer, Ernie Els, Vijay Singh, Lee Westwood and Ian Woosnam. Real Club de Golf Sevilla

Real Golf de Pedreña

THE HOME OF SEVE BALLESTEROS. is definitely one of the best golf courses in Spain.  Probably the most famous golf course known by all Spaniards as it’s the home of Seve, but hardly talked about and much less visited by foreigners.  A 6,340 yards (5,764 meters), par 70 course and originally designed by the famous Harry S. PGA Catalunya

Real Club de Golf La Herrería

Located just 45 minutes northwest of Madrid, any golf trip to Spain should include this beautiful golf course as it sits inside the forest of the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Monastery of El Escorial.  The views of the monastery, the forest and the Madrid skyline are unique.  This is one of the best golf courses in Spain with a distance of 6,122 meters, slope of 144 and Par of 71. Golf Lerma

This is the perfect golf course for the wine enthusiasts. Located 30 minutes away from Spain’s second most famous wine region: Ribera del Duero. However, Golf Lerma is impressive, relatively flat and with difficult greens. From yellow it’s almost 6,000 meters with a PAR of 72. Real Sociedad Hípica Española Club de Campo

A short 20 minute drive from the center of Madrid, this private country club has two 18 hole golf courses which are impeccably maintained.
